• If tourists are not allowed to travel when political wings decide to call a “Hartal”?
• If tourists are not allowed to smoke and drink when they want- even in a hotel?
• If tourist places are littered with garbage and the system looks on?
• If the condition of roads are depressing to tourists and locals alike?
• If tourists are cheated by dubious operators, massage centers etc?
• If the tourists are charged excessive fares by auto/ taxi drivers?
• If tourists are not provided the service they have paid for?
• If a tourist is stranded when the government decides to close the hotel overnight?
• If the government responsible for creation of jobs acts otherwise?
• If there are no public conveniences for the tourist by the highways?
• If growth percentage goes up every year and the infrastructure doesn’t?
• If hotels bounce clients after collecting payments well in advance?
• If hotel charge tariff that don’t match up to the facilities?
• If hotels charge more than the rack rate for major conferences?
• If tour operators don’t understand the needs of the clients and goof up?
• If there is no body to check the growth of fly-by-night operators?
• If there is no governing body to handle tourist complaints?
• If unique models like home stays are promoted and taxed for bringing tourist?
• If tourists are made to pay more than the locals and taxed for every service?
• If the service providers are taxed for everything?
• If progressive nations are giving tax holidays and we try to kill the golden goose?
• If nefarious activities happen in the name of tourism?
• If people try to make illegal money legal in the name of tourism?
• If houseboats clients are made to vacate forcibly when wage claims are not met?
• If politicians and bureaucrats with little understanding of tourism sit at the helm?
• If the same visionaries are removed when they get a hang of it?
• If the progress graph doesn’t relate to the oratory skills of leaders?
• If tourist movement is curtailed in destinations due to unavailability of rooms?
• If there aren’t many qualified and approved guides to assist tourists?
• If health and sanitation is ignored bringing epidemic that kills the tourist flow?
• If in the name of development a popular destinations future looks bleak?
• If due to popularity of few destinations, other destinations are not given its due?
• If the progressive PPP gets stuck due to lack of PPP in policy making?
• If the genuine investors are made to run for their money?
• If the pioneers in the trade don’t voice the wrong doings/ lack of initiatives?
• If hotel charge in forex when markets are up and rupees when it goes down?
• If the educational system is unable to generate quality products?
• If the world understands and accolades our strength and we don’t?
• If we continue to bask in the glory of achievements and don’t take if further?
• If the WTTC projects us to be fastest growing state and we try to put brake on it?
• If we are the most literate state but don’t match up to the image?
